Description & Distribution 
Sweet flag is highly acclaimed for its excellent therapeutic value. It forms an important ingredient of pharmaceuticals, perfumes and cosmetics.

In India sweet flag flourishes in the marshy tracts of Kashmir and Sirmoor and along the Kumaon ranges, besides Manipur and the Naga hills. It is commercially cultivated in Karnataka. Kerala and Tamil Nadu also produce small qualities of sweet flag.

Marketing Season : March to April
